There are tons of metrics in AdWords – what are your top 3 Key Performance Metrics in AdWords and why?

  • Conversion Rate - The primary goal of advertising is that users take a certain action on a website, so we have to do our best not just to optimize the ad-text in AdWords but also the website the customer will visit after clicking on the ad.
  • Quality Score - You should do everything you can to reduce spending without lowering rankings. Quality Score is more than just a number from 0 to 10, it’s like an internal rating system for your ads, so it is very, very important!
  • Return on Ad Spending - One of the most important key performance metrics for me is finding out if the campaign is worthwhile or not. When the campaign isn’t profitable, you either improve it or delete it...
